TMNT
Unexpectedly good – the writer/director, unlike Batman Begins, Casino
Royale and Superman Returns
Understands what is great about the characters and their story.
It wastes no time getting to the action and is a good as the classic
first movie, but with the addition of fluid CGI fight scenes.
9/10
Deja Vu
Not seen many Denzel Washington films, but he looks very old here.
Flows slickly like a typical Bruckenheimer blockbuster, with CSI style
investigation becoming a sci fi thriller.
The plot has some holes (why is the ambulance there if the girl died?)
but they don’t hurt the film, unlike the ending of the Prestige.
8.5/10
Mannequin
Just as good as remembered – great casting, script and direction.
This, and Big Trouble In Little China are the way I’d like to remember
Kim Kattrall.
Flows along well and is just the thing for a lazy afternoon.
